The Grade 2 listed lido at Parliament Hill Fields on Hampstead Heath has one of London's most stylish cafes. This year its owners, the City of London Corporation, decided to invest and create a fully fitted out kitchen to launch a new service to park users as well as the hardy year round swimmers. We are Hoxton Beach and are delighted to have been chosen to run it. Our starting point is the Middle Eastern salads and falafel we offer in other cafes and street markets and the authentic French bread and viennoiserie that comes from our bakery, Doree. But we also want to launch a menu that uses the resources of the new kitchen at the Lido and that will put the cafe on the map in every season of the year. We are enthusiastic about the vegetable based cuisines of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean that can complement our existing offer. It will also be important to offer a good informal brunch menu. We are looking for battle hardened candidate who can deal with the pressures of days when the pool is full of hungry swimmers but who also can bring originality and creativity. We are indicating a starting hourly rate, but are looking to negotiate a salaried full time position.
