Role: Housekeeper / Cook
Location: Knightsbridge, London
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 9-10 hours per day
Salary: £500 – 550 NPW
We are looking for a Hindi speaking full-time Housekeeper/Cook for a family of three in Knightsbridge, Central London.
The Housekeeper/Cook will assist with the care of the home and prepare daily meals for the Principals and their baby. Knowledge of preparing food for young children is a bonus, knowledge of Indian cuisine is essential.
You will be experienced working in luxury private households, organized with a meticulous attention to detail, and be a passionate cook with a good knowledge of diet and nutrition.
You will be expected to work Monday – Friday, ordinarily 9-10 hours per day. The exact hours each day may vary depending on the schedule of the family. Ordinarily you will not be required to work weekends as the family are also looking for a Weekend Housekeeper/Cook, however should they have a special function which requires additional help they need someone who is flexible to help.
The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience working as a Housekeeper and Cook within a formal private residence and catering for a family with young children, extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine and ideally speak fluent Hindi.
The salary offered for the role is £500 - £550 net per week. The Employer provides an employment contract with holiday entitlement, statuary sick pay, and pays tax contributions.

Duties;

Maintaining the household to an excellent standard.
Specialist care of surfaces and fabrics
Laundry and ironing for the family
Keeping the kitchen in an orderly, clean and presentable state.
Deep cleaning of the family home
Ordering groceries
Providing special dietary requirements where necessary and taking into account the preferences of each family member.
Meal plan and preparation
Tend to daily requests made by the Principles.
Source and shop for high quality ingredients.
Cater for family functions at the residence.
Overseeing and managing the kitchen

To be considered for this role you must:

Have 3 + years of experience working within a private house as a Housekeeper/Cook.
Have excellent contactable references
Possess (or be willing to get) an up to date DBS check.
