Native French Summer Nanny Wanted

Posted: Today
Place: Angel, London

Hi – we're an outgoing family of four living in London EC1 (near Farringdon and Angel tube stations) and we are looking for a part-time live-out French nanny who also speaks English for our happy and curious 3 year and 5 year old sons.
We are very flexible – ideally someone who can work Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (or 2 of those days) for half or full days. Occasional evening and weekend work would also be available if you are interested.
Starting around the week of 24 July and ending around the week of 4 September – but please note we will be away from 4-18 August. There is also an opportunity for ongoing part-time work during the school year, if you are interested.
We offer a competitive salary and provide a happy and friendly environment in which to work. Our children used to have a French nanny for 2 years, but they have forgotten a lot and so we are hoping to get them speaking French again over the summer.
We're looking for someone who is warm, outgoing, punctual, well organised, genuinely loves being around children, talking/singing/playing with them and also helping them in their learning and development. Formal childcare qualifications are not essential, but an advantage.
We live in a bright flat with plenty of room to play, a large outdoor terrace and many local activities and playgrounds for the kids within easy walking distance.
Responsibilities include creative and imaginative play, preparing and supervising nutritious meals, tidying Toys and dishes following their activities and mealtimes, taking the kids to the park or other activities. Someone who is flexible and willing to pitch in would be great. I’m a stay-at-home mom and will often be around, or may join you for outings etc.
Please note we have no pets and a cleaner is also employed, so no household cleaning, laundry or ironing is required. And since we love to cook, much of the time there will be plenty of food in the fridge for the kids’ meals.
Requirements: Native French speaker, at least 3 years related experience with a similar age group, commitment to working for at least the summer, references, non-smoker and proof of right to work in the UK (i.e. EU passport or visa). Also a plus if you have an up to date CRB / DBS check, are OFSTED registered and paediatric first aid trained.
If you are interested, please supply a CV, your contact number and recent contactable references.
Thank you,
Leora.
