We are an English / Russian family based in Fulham who are looking for a friendly, fun and outgoing native French speaking experienced au pair plus, who is already in the UK, to support our family on a live in basis. The position is available immediately and we would require a minimum of 1 year commitment.
We have 2 lovely entertaining and active boys, aged 11 and.
8. The youngest attends an English / French school 5 days per week that is just 5 Mins walk from our house. The eldest goes to school a bus journey away.
We require a reasonable level of English but fluency in French language is a must as we expect you to speak to our boys in French most of the time to help with their schooling and homework.
The duties for the boys would include:
• Preparing their breakfasts and evening meals
• The morning and afternoon school runs for the youngest
• Meeting the eldest off the bus / train on occasions
• Taking them to after school activities, (i.e. Swimming lessons)
• Arranging and running play dates
• Entertaining and educating them (ensuring all homework is completed)
• Managing the bed time routine
• Sorting out their school uniform and clothes
• Ensuring their rooms and the house are always tidy, particularly the kitchen and bathroom.
• Clothes washing, ironing and light cleaning. (We have a cleaner once a week who does the main housework)
The likely hours needed to achieve this will be from 6.30am to 8.30am and then 3.15pm to 8.15pm, however these are a guide and flexibility is essential. We would also require up to 2 nights babysitting per week, although this is not every week.
You would have your own bedroom in our house in Fulham, which is close to a lovely park, buses and the Tube.
It is essential you have relevant experience in a minimum of 3 previous positions looking after 2 young children. We would require references from these positions and a CRB check. If you have any other skills appropriate to kids that would be great.
