We’re looking for a nanny that is very warm, loving and experienced to join our family and care for our two bright, sweet boys - aged 3 and 6, four days per week on Monday - Thursday, 8am – 6/6.30pm, in Ealing.
Someone that can join us at the end of August/beginning of September, before our much loved nanny of five years emigrates to the USA.
We are a New Zealand/British family, with both Dad and Mum employed in professional jobs, so this is a sole charge position. We live in leafy Ealing, just 15 minutes walk from Ealing Broadway Station in West London.
Our boys are very active, Smiley and curious about the world, so we want someone who has bundles of energy, enjoys playtime and fun, can organise playdates and take them to their regular after school activities, like swimming and gym (driving not required). Our eldest is at school and loves planes, trains and singing and having his nanny help him with homework. Our youngest is at playgroup three mornings per week and loves playing Lego with us, diggers and running around the park.
With an active family life, this position would suit a well organised, patient nanny with a ‘can-do’ attitude. You’ll be someone that enjoys cooking and is happy to cook a nutritious evening meal for the family. Someone tidy and organised who is happy to keep the place clean, do the odd grocery run and spot of light housework (unpack the dishwasher, load of laundry etc). We have two medium haired kittens, so a cat lover would be ideal.
You don’t need have to have loads of qualifications, but you do need to have previous nanny experience with children of this age. Excellent spoken English, the right to work in the UK long-term and excellent checkable references, are essential. Also someone who is OFSTED registered (or willing to), who has an enhanced CRB check and valid First Aid certificate.
If this sounds like you, and you’re available to work 8am – 6/6.30pm, Mon-Thu 4 days per week (and occasional babysitting/later finish, with some flexibility to work the occasional Friday a bonus), then we’d love to hear from you. Please send us an email about why you think you’d be perfect, along with your cv (with reasons for leaving your current position), your salary expectations and a recent photo.
