We are a small family of 3 living in Wimbledon in South West London. We enjoy outings to the park, museums and going to the movies and believe in healthy eating and go to the gym and run. Mum is going back to work soon and we would like to find a nanny to help parents with the routine for our 9-year-old son.
We are looking for a seasoned nanny to do the before and after school run Monday to Friday. We can commit to an average of 27.5-30 hours per week with the nanny helping with some light housework when our son is at school. The role is NOT term time and will run over school terms and school holidays keeping the hours fixed weekly and monthly.
The daily routine consists of the following tasks:
- Cook a daily breakfast
- Drop off at school (8- to 10-minute walk)
- Help with some house chores
- Pick up at school
- Take to after school activities on 2 days
- Help with daily homework (read, write, maths)
- Cook a fresh and nutritious dinner daily
- Supervise shower
- Tender to child’s weekly laundry and ironing
Attributes and experience:
- A passion for children and their well-being
- experience in similar roles looking after school-age children
- Checkable references (preferably in UK but flexible)
- Good spoken and written level of English
- You must be a FEMALE and a NON SMOKER
- You must be able to cook fresh daily, simple meals
- We'd prefer a driver due to some clubs which are more distant than SW19 (on 2 evenings per week)
- A current DBS report and a paediatric first aid certificate would be desirable
- Ofsted registration looked at favourably, although flexible
- Languages (Spanish would be ideal) but not essential
- Commitment to staying with us at least for the whole academic year until July 2022
Salary will be based strictly on age AND proven (and verifiable) experience but will be in the region of £10-£12nph. (References are a must).
