Nanny one day Week North London Vacancy

Posted: 23-05-2024
Place: North Finchley, London

We are looking for a caring, fun and reliable nanny to help our family one day a week. We have three children, aged 3, 7 and.
9. The role involves collecting our three year old from nursery (a ten-minute walk from our home), caring for him until our older children need to be collected from school (also a ten-minute walk from our home), preparing their evening meal and getting them ready for bed.
We are a very relaxed family and are looking for someone who will have fun with the children and make them happy.
This is a live-out role, ideally from 11.30am to 7pm (7.5 hours; with some flexibility on hours), one day a week, in our comfortable north Finchley home. Our children are happy, well-behaved and independent boys.
We are reasonably flexible on which day you help us, so we can probably agree a day that fits with your other commitments. Depending on the day, the children may need to be taken to an after-school activity (in easy walking or public transport distance).
We are looking for someone who will make our children feel safe and cared for and who wants to make their day together a highlight of the children’s week!
The ideal candidate will:
• be loving, enthusiastic, kind, energetic, patient and positive
• have at least one year’s experience as a nanny, with experience of nannying for older children
• speak excellent English
• hold childcare qualifications
• have a first aid qualification and DBS check
• be extremely reliable and punctual
• be able to cook wholesome, familiar meals for the children
• live within a 40 minute commute from north Finchley
• have excellent verifiable references in the UK
• have the Right To Work (RTW) in the UK
• ideally be OFSTED registered – although this isn’t essential.
You won’t be expected to do errands or housework, other than making and tidying up the children’s meals.
We’re keen for someone to start as soon as possible , but we’ll organise some time before the start date for you to get to know the children, their home and routines. A competitive salary would of course be offered.
Please apply with a comprehensive CV and brief covering Email/letter, clearly showing which of the attributes above you do and don’t have (feel free to ‘copy and paste’ the list from the advert and put a tick or cross next to each point).
Please also include the date that you can start, which day/s you are available, your preferred hours, salary expectations and references.
We look forward to hearing from you!
