Nanny required in Kentish Town, full-time, two children
Working hours: 40 hours a week.
Location: Kentish Town
Commencement: starting second half of October 2022 with the aim of overlapping with our current nanny who is leaving at the end of October.
We are looking for a loving, fun and sensible nanny who is experienced and conscientious to look after William (age 5) and Bibi (age 3). We are hoping for someone to stay with us for the long-term (our current nanny has been with us for over 3.5 years), to form a strong bond with our children and to become a valued and respected of our family. We are offering a fixed rate annual salary equivalent to 40 hrs a week (including tax and pension through an agency) to secure flexibility from our nanny. We expect that during term time (William is in Year One, Bibi is starting nursery at school) we will require reduced hours as the children will be at school for much of the day. During the school holidays we will need our nanny to be available for longer but not exceeding 40 hrs a week. Our current nanny has established a good network with other local nannies and has been proactive at arranging playdates, allowing our children to form strong friendships with local children. We would like our new nanny to continue to foster these arrangements. William and Bibi are both bright, fun children who will respond affectionately and engagingly to someone who plays with them!
Responsibilities:
Care of William and Bibi including:
• Provision of a safe, loving and stimulating home environment.
• Provision of a range of fun and developmental activities, both at home and outside, that are creative and stimulating.
• School drop offs/pick ups
• Babysitting on occasional pre-arranged evenings
• Supervision and help with school homework
• Arranging and taking the children to play-dates, parks, classes and on occasional day trips.
• Maintenance of the children's regular daytime routine.
• Planning and preparing varied, tasty and nutritious meals.
• Clearing the kitchen following meal times.
• Maintaining general order in the home and keeping the children's play areas tidy and safe.
• Laundry of the children's clothing.
• Keeping parents up-to-date with the children's daily activities.
Essential requirements:
• Three years' plus experience as a nanny
• experience with looking after more than one child
• Excellent references
• Fully fluent English speaker
• Flexible and proactive
• Reliable and responsible
• Demonstrable ability to be both creative and stimulating and to focus on nurturing children' individual development
• Caring, engaging and energetic
• Non-smoker
• Legally able to work in UK
• Up to date CRB check and preferably OFSTED-registered. First aid qualification essential
