Family in Kentish Town (NW5) looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and energetic part-time, live-out nanny for our two children. Our daughter is 5, our son is 8.
To start mid-June
approximately 10-12 hours per week in term time (and 3 full days a week during the holidays)
We are looking for a nanny to care for our children after school and in the holidays. The suitable candidate must have previous documented experience of sole charge of young children, be reliable, caring, punctual, committed, non-smoking and have fluent English.
Main responsibilities include:
- Providing a warm, loving, fun and stimulating environment for the children at home – as well as walks to the park and going out to playdates and activities, particularly in the holidays
- Picking up the children from school (local) and looking after them for the afternoon, giving them supper, and being with them until a parent is home. This will include some after-school classes. And, in the holidays, taking them both out to appropriate activities and caring for them both at home
- staying on to put them to bed, approximately once a week
- Preparing healthy, varied meals for them
- Tidy/clean up play areas, kitchen, bedroom
- Other support at home, e.g. Children's laundry, local shopping, cooking, ironing
Standard work week:
In term time, approximately 10-12 hours per week
In holidays, 3 days
NB flexibility is important (and the exact hours can be negotiated by mutual agreement)
Tuesdays: 1.15-6.15
Wednesdays: 3.15-6.15
Thursdays: 3.15-6.15
(In holidays, all day Tues, Weds and Thursday)
Some flexibility to work overtime and babysitting in the evenings.
Minimum availability one year.
OFSTED registration necessary – or willingness to register quickly. References are mandatory, driving licence not required.
