We are a busy family of 3 looking for a nanny housekeeper, 30 + hours per week, live out, to start November/December.
The job is a mix of nanny and housekeeper. We are looking for a loyal person who can become part of the family and stay with us for the foreseeable future.
There will be some international travel, with possible travel to Germany in March for 5 days.
We are originally from New Zealand and have made London our home. We have a 2 year old energetic son (Jack), who you will be carer for. Mum (Sara) works 4 days a week, Dad (Tim) works 10 minutes from home in Victoria.
Jack is at nursery 2 mornings a week.
The ideal candidate would be trustworthy, caring, reliable and organized with good communication skills. Experienced, common sense and initiative in both childcare and housekeeping is essential.
Your duties would include
- sole charge over 4 days per week, outings and at home, fun and educational play.
- dressing, bath time and helping with meals.
- keeping the nursery clean, tidy and organized.
- housekeeping duties will include all of families laundry and ironing for the whole family.
- Keeping the house tidy and organised on the daily basis.
- Shopping as required.
We also have a cleaner (Olivia) Friday mornings so you will not be expected to undertake extensive household deep cleaning. Olivia has been supporting us for 6 years and contact details can be arranged should you wish to ‘reference check‘ us as employers.
Our current nanny/housekeeper (Aneja) has been with us for 19 months and is unfortunately leaving to go travelling. She will be available for a handover period and any questions you may have.
Working hours (30 + hours per week)
Monday 1200-1800
Tuesday 0800 -1800
Wednesday 1200-1800
Thursday 0800-1800
Additional evening babysitting will also be required and if late, organized in advance. A separate guest room and bathroom can be available for staying over.
Lunch provided as would breakfast and dinner should the occasions arise.
Requirements
- CRB checked
- Experienced (5 + years)
- Previous experience with toddlers and pre schoolers
- Up to date first aid, or ability to attain this before commencing post
- Fluent in English
- Legally permitted to work in the UK
- Organised, professional, punctual, reliable, hard working, discreet and caring
- Non-smoker
- At least two written references
- Available from November for handover period
