We’re a professional couple looking for a part-time nanny-housekeeper, starting in early September, to help with our 3 and 5 year Olds, and around the house during the school day. Both children will be at school, although the youngest will only be attending for half days until January 2022. The role will be around 30-33 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday.
Main duties will include school drop off and pick-up (the school is located in Blackheath, a short bus ride away from the house); after school care of the children including preparing meals; supporting them with homework; taking them to activities/play dates; bathing; and generally maintaining routine and structure for them.
During school hours, you would be responsible for a number of domestic duties, principally cleaning, laundry and ironing. Occasional support with household administrative jobs (e.g. Picking up dry cleaning, post office jobs etc) or light shopping may also be required. It would be a plus if the candidate would be willing and able to prepare good quality, nutritious meals for us in addition to children’s meals.
During school holidays the hours will remain unchanged, although the balance of activities will obviously shift to a much greater emphasis on childcare.
The ideal candidate will speak fluent English and come with good references. Current DBS check and first aid certificate preferred, with a willingness to undergo the requirements for these if not. Full clean UK driving licence preferred but not essential, as we live on good transport routes.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and quality of references.
