We are a family living in central London and we are looking for someone to come and work with us to help look after our 1 year old son Ferdie, our 3 year old Oscar and do some household duties. We are a very friendly family and are looking for someone who will fit in and be willing to help and most of all for someone who loves working with children. It can sometimes be a busy place to work but hopefully fun and we very much believe that if you help us then we will help you progress in your life. We have a good day to day routine in London but we would also love to hire someone who would be happy to be flexible and occasionally travel with us on holiday.
Hours and salary
We would like a Mother's help who will work 40/45 hours a week with 2 nights a week babysitting and we would be looking to pay a weekly salary of around £200/250 (food will be covered as an extra) and this will be reviewed throughout employment. Working hours would usually be Monday and Wednesday 8 am – 6 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 7.30 am – 5.30pm, however there will sometimes be hours on a Friday and sometimes hours will change slightly. We do not normally require help from Friday-Sunday, however, we would be looking for someone who would be flexible, for example, would be happy to occasionally work a weekend day and have a Monday off. We would also like someone who would be happy to come on holiday with us (very occasionally). Our son Oscar is at nursery 5 mornings a week.
Examples of duties:
-Looking after Ferdie: Playing in the garden/playroom with his collection of Toys, doing arts and crafts, taking him to museums or local toddler groups/music classes,
- Taking Oscar to and collecting him from nursery occasionally.
-Occasionally cooking for the children
- Cleaning the house: We have a weekly routine to clean the kitchen/reception two bathrooms (taps, plugs, bottle dusting, shower window, tiles)
Dusting (pictures, windowsills, skirting boards, shelves, books, side tables, bottles, kitchen top), bedrooms, playroom (hoovering, dusting, cleaning floors and changing sheets, changing the bins).
-Washing and Ironing We would require someone to do the washing and ironing (including my husbands weekly work Shirts)
Accommodation:
We would provide you with a newly decorated double bedroom with TV and shared bathroom (with Oscar and guests when visiting). The house is a 4 bedroom house with a playroom and kitchen/reception room and a good sized garden. We live in Belgravia in the heart of London. We are a 5 minute walk from Hyde Park and some fantastic museums and shops.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in childcare in the UK.
