Hello
We're looking for a fun, friendly part-time nanny to look after our two children, aged 10 and 12, after school.
The role is based in Furzedown (near Streatham/Tooting/Balham) and would suit someone looking for part time work in the afternoon, preferably living nearby.
The children are fun loving and easy going, into the sorts of things you'd expect - animals, computer games, movies - and are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with kids. We're a relaxed and informal family and what's more important to us is finding someone who'll feel comfortable and who'll fit in with our family life, rather than lots of formal qualifications (although some childcare experience would be useful)!
Duties include picking up our daughter from school in Balham (we have bikes for the short journey across Tooting Common), meal preparation, arranging play dates or taking the children to after school activities, and light household duties for the kids (not the grown ups). A car is available if you can drive and have a clean licence.
We live in a semi-detached house with a garden and are two minutes from Tooting Common, which is lovely in the summer, and only ten minutes from the open air swimming pool. A regular bus Stops very close to the house or Tooting Bec or Broadway tubes are nearby.
We will pay £11 per hour and can offer guaranteed hours from Monday to Thursday 3.30 to 7.00. Plus occasional Fridays and babysitting. There will also be the chance to work full days - 9.00 to 7.00 - during some school holidays so flexibility would be great.
Please don't apply for the role if these hours don't suit you or you're looking for full time. We don't want to waste anyone's time!
The role will begin in early September, after the summer holidays, when our current nanny leaves us. She's emigrating and we're really sorry to see her go. But anyone interested in working with us will be able to have a chat to her to get her point of view. We're keen to have our childcare sorted before we go on holiday, so would like to meet people from mid July onwards.
If this sounds like it could be the role for you, we'd love to hear from you. Drop us a line with your CV and we can take it from there!
Thanks for reading and hope to meet you soon.
