We’re a friendly family looking for a kind, warm and calm mother's help/nanny in Finchley, north London, for our two gorgeous boys, 2 and 4 years old. The role is four days a week, with weekends and Wednesdays off, and with longer hours in school holidays. The role could be live-in or live-out and start in mid-August or early September, depending upon your availability.
You will be emotionally intelligent, confident/authoritative, active and creative. You will be able to encourage the kids' imagination and curiosity. You will show common sense and have flexibility. You will need to be comfortable with the fact no meat may be brought into our home. A (clean) driving license is desirable but not essential.
Our boys enjoy imaginative play, ball games, puzzles and books and asking questions! The role involves:
• Caring for, entertaining and stimulating the boys, taking sole charge of them, and playing with them, taking them out and doing creative activities
• Getting boys ready for and taking them to the local school and nursery; and collecting them at the end of the day
• Taking them to activities; [something about play, creative etc]
• Preparing, supervising and clearing meals for the boys and helping with light household chores
In term time, afternoon hours would be 14.45-18.30 (12.15-17.00 on Fridays) and, if you wish, morning hours of 7.30-9.15 ie up to 24 hours. In school holidays, they would be 7.45-18.30 (17.00 on Fridays) ie 42 hours.
From our back gate we have direct access to Dollis Valley, with hours of green walks by stream, fields etc, as well as being 10 minutes from a park with playground and almost opposite a field. We are close to shops, cafes, amenities, buses and the underground.
