Permanent babysitter/evening nanny required to look after three lovely children aged 13, 11 and 8 on a Monday Wednesday and Thursday evening.
Hours as follows:
Monday 6.30 to 9:30 PM
Wednesday 6.30 to 9.30 PM
Thursday 6.30 to 9.30 PM.
Occasional opportunity to work later but this will be with prior agreement and at additional pay.
Responsibilities include:
Helping day time nanny to clear up after tea Eg emptying and stacking dishwasher, wiping down kitchen surfaces, getting bedtime snacks ready, preparing snack for school the next day etc.
Supervising and helping with homework eg listening to reading, checking spelling and supervising written and maths work;
Supervising music practice
ensuring children are ready for bed - bath, teeth, hair wash etc.
making sure they are in bed at the appropriate bedtime;
Reading bedtime stories
Ensuring bedrooms and play room are tidy before the end of shift
occasional preparation of light tea
Candidates must have:
prior experience looking after children, ideally in a nannying, teaching, carer or teaching assistant role. (Current babysitter is a teacher and has been in the role 18 months and is leaving to have a baby).
A friendly personality, love of children and good sense of humour.
Fluent written and spoken English
Non smoker please.
Checkable references, current CRB/dsb check and be able to provide copies of ID and proof of address.
Punctuality and reliability are key as both parents work and can't change their hours at short notice; and hence preference is given to a candidate who is local to the Greenwich area. The home is close to bus routes, the mainline station / dlr is a 10 minute walk away and off street parking is available.
Must like dogs as we have a 5 month old puppy.
We are looking for someone who is prepared to commit long term - this is a permanent position - so please do not apply if you are only able to commit for a few months, are likely to have to change the hours or have plans to leave the area.
£10-12 per hour depending on experience
