We are a small Oxfam shop in buzzy Muswell Hill, North London.
We are currently looking for a Shop Assistant Volunteer to join our fantastic Team on Sundays who would like to receive training as shift leader.
For this particular role we require that you are 18 years of age or older, and can commit to doing one of our Sunday shifts (3 hours) but possibly the full day (6 hours).
Our opening hours on Sunday are 11.00 to 5.00
Our shifts on Sunday are 11.00 to 2.00 and 2.00 to 5.00
You will be trained on any or all of the following:
* Receiving donations (clothing, accessories and home ware). Sorting, valuing and pricing our donated stock
* Displaying and replenishing donated stock in line with shop standards
* Pricing, displaying and ordering our New Product range such as Fairtrade foods, Gifts and cards
* Visual merchandising and window dressing
* Keeping the shop tidy and welcoming
* Providing customer service and operating the till and credit card machine
* Promoting our Gift Aid scheme do donors
* End of day cashing up (when fully trained)
and much more.

No experience required as full training provided, but we require that you are dedicated, reliable, willing to learn and can commit for a minimum of one shift per week.
Good communication and the ability to follow instructions a must.
Temporary or permanent positions available however a minimum of 3 months preferable.
This is a voluntary role hence unpaid.
