We are a small Oxfam shop in buzzy Muswell Hill, North London.
Cashier Volunteers needed
This is a great opportunity to volunteer in our Muswell Hill shop and develop or enhance your retail skills. We are looking for someone who is proactive, able to multi-task and well presented as you will be the first point of call to our customers and donors.
Ideally you will be able to offer one or two 4-hour shifts a week. AM or PM. Week days or Weekends. Temporary or permanent.
Key responsibilities:
Serving customers, operating the till and Credit Card machine
Providing excellent customer service.
Keeping the till area and shop floor merchandised, tidy and welcoming
Answering queries
Receiving donations and promoting our Gift Aid scheme
Monitoring our changing room
End of day cashing up (when trained and if doing the PM shift)
Skills and competencies:
No experience required but volunteers must be dedicated, reliable and willing to learn
Ability to work within the shop guideline
Honesty, reliability and ability to work as part of a team
An interest in Retail and Customer Service
Good communication and numeracy skills
Ability to follow instructions
Attention to detail
