Experienced MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician required for a busy, independent garage in the Clapham/Brixton area. We are an established Volkswagen and Audi specialist, operating from a large, well equipped workshop.
The Candidate:
You must be able to demonstrate solid technical skills, be self motivated, organised and have a strong work ethic. Working to high standards as part of an established team, you must be able to build effective working relationships with your colleagues and commit to the company ethos of delivering consistently high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
Your CV should show relevant experience, qualifications and job stability. References will be taken.
The Role:
Working mainly as an MOT Tester the role includes,
- Service and maintenance on cars and LGVs
- Carry out diagnostics and repairs
- Accurate recording and reporting of work required/faults found
- Effective communication with customers by phone or face to face
- Maintain the workshop to safe and clean standards
- Comply with Company Policy and Procedure as well as Health and Safety, COSHH
and Hazardous Waste regulations.
Hours/Salary
Hours - 8:00 to 6:00 Monday to Friday, plus alternate Saturdays 8:00 to 12:00
Salary - £25K - £29K dependant on qualifications and experience.
Requirements
- MOT Smart Card
- experience in a similar specialist garage or dealership, ideally 3 + years
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent
- Full, clean drivers licence
- Own tools.
