Essential: experience with Speech and Language therapy, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy. Supporting young children with development delay. Educated to degree level.
Desired experience: German Speaker, Makaton, AAC Communication.
Start Date: September 2022
Days and Hours: Monday to Friday 7.00am – 1:00pm.
Frankie is 2 years old, he is a little charming and engaging little boy. Frankie has developmental delay and we are looking for an exceptional SEND Nanny / Therapist with experience in SLT, Physio or Occupational Therapy to encourage, motivate and stimulate Frankie to continue the fantastic progress he has already made. Frankie has two older sisters and a baby sister.
Frankie can walk for short distances, he is pre-verbal and has lots of babble – he loves to chat! Frankie is using AAC and Makaton to support his communication. The family and his current Snap SEND Nanny / Therapist are applying some principles from ABA and Frankie is responding very well to this. Using a fun, motivational and creative approach, you will implement Frankie’s therapies into his daily life to ensure he is reaching his goals, targets and developmental milestones.
You will be calm, patient, loving and gentle as well as organised and diligent. You will have the opportunity to work alongside Frankie’s current SEND Nanny / Therapist as she will continue to provide therapy support on a part-time basis (2 afternoon / evenings per week).
Flexibility is important as the family may require occasional weekend support. You will be happy to travel with the family throughout the year.  We have some flexibility on the hours for the right person. This role is to provide 1:1 focused support for Frankie; a nanny and housekeeper tend to his siblings.
