Mondays on CBT Wanted in London

Posted: 23-08-2024
Place: In Kingston area.

Our son has been on a VB/ABA program since he was 2 1/2 years old due to his diagnosis of ASD. He is now about to turn 12 and will start year 7 at a lovely, small secondary school in Kingston, called Canbury School after the summer holiday.
Over the last few years he has progressed so well that the VB/ABA program has changed to a Social Thinking and CBT orientated program. (Michelle Garcia Winner).
We furthermore focus on Relationship Development Intervention.
Our son has just finished year 6 at a mainstream primary school where he has had 100% support by a dedicated VB team under the supervision of Dawn Sullivan.
One person is leaving our team as the move to Kingston from Chelsea is making it physically difficult for her to move with us.
We are therefore looking for a person whom may have experience, but most importantly, have a great interest in working with a pre-teen boy who is high functioning autistic on the program described above. This is not a VB/ABA program - so if this is your main interest, this job would not be a good choice for you.
Our son is a hard working, polite but cheeky, very chatty and friendly young man who likes to get to know new people. He is super excited about going to the next school, where he has been a few times for senior open mornings, to meet the children he will be in year 7 with when he starts.
The job starts from around 20th August where you can shadow our tutors and visit the school for an introduction.
The school starts on 5th September and we are hoping to plan a visit on the 4th September for the team of tutors to be shown around the school and meet the teachers and staff before school starts 5th September.
DBS papers are essential.
If this sounds of interest to you, please don't hesitate to contact me through this website.
We look forward to hearing from you. Please attach a CV when contacting me.
Kind Regards,
Gitte.
