We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate junior manager to lead our award-winning team.

Milk has built a cult like following in its 5 years and we are proud to be recognised as one of the best cafe/restaurants in London. We are looking for a highly ambitious junior manager to help head up our front of house team and promote growth within the company as a whole.

We are incredibly proud of what our kitchen team produces and aim to serve the most creative, forward thinking and undeniably delicious food we possibly can, with a focus on small independent suppliers and use only the best products.

We hope to find someone who can champion this approach to food and coffee and lead a team that creates the perfect experience for our customers. It is integral to our vision that our management team thinks on a grander scale, with a well rounded understanding of the exciting culture of food and coffee that is happening in London and abroad and has a relentless drive to harness their ambition to make everything we do at Milk and our sister cafe Milkteeth the very best.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to help grow both with us and in the industry.

The right applicant will have a strong hospitality background and a minimum 1 years working in a similar management position.

Barista experienced highly preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities Include:

Lead and manage a passionate team in a high capacity cafe/restaurant environment.

Take responsibility for the effective running of the cafe and ensure the team deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Act as a role model for staff through strong alliance with Milk’s core values of creativity, passion and quality.

Ensure the staff rotas are optimised to meet operational demands.

Drive productivity and profitability by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce waste.

Ensure seamless execution of Milk’s aesthetic and operational standards.

Effective communications to all members of staff and lead by example.

Manage and lead your team, with the ability to network, recruit, train, develop and assess talent.

· Reliability, maturity and punctuality.

· Excellent English communication skills

· Individuals with active interests in food, art, music, specialty coffee and literature.

What we are offering:

· Full Time Position with an exciting, forward thinking young company.

· £22-24,000 Annual Salary depending on experience.

· Opportunities for career progression as we expand from 2 to 5 sites over the next two years.
