Miscarriages of justice happen every day. Putting them right is possible but never easy.
If you are willing to put in some effort, in the full knowledge that most of what you do will likely be ignored by the powers that be, then read on! You will definitely learn more than any classroom or lecture theatre will prepare you for!
The client is a professional who has an autoimmune condition that can affect his ability to function and our role is supporting some complex legal arguments as well as practical admin and support.
The most important qualities for this role are commitment: a positive approach, ability to work efficiently in a small team, Integrity, patience, perseverance, ability to maintain professional confidences, attention to detail and indeed a generous sense of humour would be desirable too!
You will have a hands on role, insight into several areas of law and receive an appropriate reference.
The role is voluntary as there is no funding available, however, travel costs can be reimbursed.
Professional reference from a Lingual-Legal Services firm will be supplied on completion.
This is both an interesting and demanding position, where you can make areal difference to people's lives, and would suit law graduates/undergraduates as well as those with a serious interest in human rights.
It is anticipated that the project will last for a few days/week and working hours can be negotiated.
Work is primarily at the client's home-based office in Southall, Ealing.
