Meridian Pharmacy is a friendly, modern and service focused independent pharmacy looking for a part time medicines counter assistant.
We are currently offering an opportunity for someone to join our growing team as a part-time Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) covering Monday to Friday and every other Saturday (22-30 hours per week). Overtime may be available for the right candidate. We will fully fund a course for the successful candidate to become an accredited MCA, learning about the various over-the-counter products and ailments, and being able to offer advice to customers/patients looking to buy certain pharmacy products.
Candidates should have great interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, with aptitude and willingness. They should also ideally have retail experience (pharmacy experience is preferred but not essential).
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Good written and spoken English
- Excellent attendance record
-Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines and multitask
- A willingness to learn new skills.
PREFERRED:
- Previous Retail Pharmacy experience
- Any previous Pharmacy NVQ skills
- Other spoken languages
Full training will be provided.
