A private medical practice based in Central London is looking for an experienced medical receptionist to join our busy team.
You must be confident, well-presented and polite with an articulate and professional telephone manner. Excellent communication and people skills are essential for this role, as well as ability to multi-task and strictly follow instructions.
You must be highly-efficient and organised, and able to work well under pressure.
Previous experience in a private medical practice is a definite advantage.
You must be prepared to work flexible hours (morning and evening shifts) and be available to start work within 2-3 weeks.
Main duties:
- To ensure the smooth running of Reception and the reception floor.
- To manage General Practitioner and consultant diaries and deal with enquiries from GPs, consultants and management as they occur.
- To book appointments, receive patients and answer general enquiries.
- To provide the best possible customer service to patients and visitors.
- To collect and account for payments collected from patients.
- To collect and dispatch post.
- To ensure pathology samples are safely dispatched to the lab.
- To help with stock take and inventory.
- To undertake ad hoc tasks as required by clinicians and staff.
- To provide admin support to the Manager as needed.
