Nurses with specialist post qualification experience in radiology or sedation would have the opportunity to use their additional skills. We are happy to provide further training for our team members, but applicants must be GDC registered.
We are looking for nurses who want to work in all aspects of dentistry, including prosthodontics and paediatrics.

Job Role:
Clinical Responsibilities
Getting Surgical Patient's files for the day.
Setting up theatre for surgical procedures.
Preparing Post Op bags for Patients
Covering Patient with Antibiotics and Painkillers Pre-surgery.
Explaining and advising after surgery (Post OP Bag)
Get Patients to sign consent-form pre surgery.
Running for surgeries
Charting Medication on Exact or any other notes for patients.
Checking Patients medical history and talking through it in recovery room pre-surgery.
Explaining Post op Sedation/Surgery Instruction to escort and patient.
Preparing recovery room for IV Sedation Patient and tiding up/cleaning afterwards.
Looking after IV Sedation patients in recovery room ( manage pain, drinks, soup etc)
Filing out an Oral Sedation log for each Oral sedation Patient and record on Exact.
Filling out an IV Sedation log for each IV Sedation patient- to be handed to anaesthetist during surgery to write down given drugs. Everything needs to be recorded on Exact.
Turn around rooms (if needed)
Stocking and cleaning rooms
First aid kit management
Administrative Responsibilities
Medical Emergencies
Checking that all Emergency drugs are in date and complete.
Ordering Emergency drugs
Checking the Emergency drugs weekly and recording it on the cloud/icomply.
Updating the Medical Emergency drug list weekly.
Defibrillator and Oxygen maintenance and management.
Checking that Pads and Battery are in date.
Checking oxygen cylinders daily
Maintaining records and ordering new supplies as needed.
Sedation
Sending Pre and Post Oral sedation instruction to Patient who are booked for Oral Sedation.
Organising an anaesthetist for Patients who are booked for IV Sedation.
Medication
Antibiotics and Painkillers which we keep in our medication cupboard are ordered from fleet street clinic.
Record medication- incoming and destroyed/given to staff.
Incoming: recording in medication stock control record book.
Outgoing: recording in medication out record book.
Making sure that the medication cupboard is fully stocked.
Printing Medication Handsouts, Stickers, Post-surgery Instructions, Post Sedation Instructions.
Medication audits
Keeping the BNF updated
Consent
Writing consent forms
