Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £37,000 - £42,000 per annum.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take responsibility for the procurement, contract supervision, administration and financial control of a number of water /mechanical projects, including: Domestic and communal water monitoring, water risk assessments, domestic and communal water cistern renewals, TMV servicing, hot and cold water services infrastructure, unvented hot water.
Knowledge, experience and Skills required by the ideal Mechanical Engineer:
- Must have substantial experience within the Gas/mechanical services industry, should have intermediate IT skill including knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, and has held a supervisory position within the social housing environment.
- Ability to devise, communicate, and gain acceptance for and implement new ideas and technical solutions to building services problems and to convey information to others by way of written reports and technical specifications.
- Demonstrate experience and skills managing customer relationships to ensure a high level of customer care and satisfaction.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills and experience of creating and maintaining accurate and complex written and computerised records as well as collating and disseminating information.
- Up to date knowledge of health and safety.
- Up to date knowledge of legislative developments and demonstrable ability to continually promote best practice in the work place.
- Intermediate level IT skills.
- Full UK drivers licence and use of vehicle.
Qualifications required by the ideal Mechanical Engineer:
- Must hold City Guilds in plumbing or similar discipline or equivalent experience and hold water regulations, L8 and unvented hot water certification.
