Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical and Electrical Stock Condition Surveyor to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £42,000 - £45,000 per annum.

Following a merger between Peabody and Family Mosaic, the new Peabody Group is a significantly larger, more diverse organisation, employing over 3,000 people. This Mechanical and Electrical Stock Condition Surveyor is a challenging role, part of a growing business and adding significant value by providing technical knowledge and experience to the Asset Management Team across the new organisation. The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the natural ability to network and build effective relationships within the departmental team(s) and also with key stakeholders across the organisation.
This is a fundamental role in the Asset Management Strategy team, providing and auditing of M and E stock condition information to allow accurate investment planning and to provide quality reports on specific defects or wider property issues.
Knowledge/experience/skills required by the Mechanical and Electrical Stock Condition Surveyor:
Essential
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
- Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering degree Accredited by either IET and/or IMechE.
- Strong experience post degree (Pre-qualification relevant experience may be considered) in a similar role.
- Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills.
- Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts and forging new business relationships.
- Able to work with teams and can prioritise workloads and deliver to deadlines.
- A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious.
- Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
- IT literacy and expertise in using tablet based data collection technologies, Excel, Word MS Project,
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
Desirable knowledge/experience/skills required by the Mechanical and Electrical Stock Condition Surveyor:
- experience of Keystone would be desirable.
