A co-educational, secondary Alternative Educational School for students aged 11 to 16 is currently recruiting for a Mathematics Teacher for September 2022. The school offers full-time provision for up to 110 students who have been excluded or are out of mainstream education for other reasons.
The school offers outstanding facilities and newly renovated classrooms designed to breed creativity and support learning. This large modern school have on-site parking and is easily accessible by public transport. This school have made outstanding progress in KS3 and KS4 when compared with results from other Pupil Referral Units.
We are seeking to recruit a confident Maths teacher to:
Encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning.
Ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and learning objectives.
Attend scheduled meetings in the Maths Department and school to help maintain the excellent academic reputation/ share ideas.
Check that all subject matter is effectively communicated and understood by all groups of students.
Ideally, the teacher we recruit will have recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Mathematics with a proven track record of delivering successful and creative lessons. Excellent behaviour management skills are essential. References will need to be obtained and a full enhanced DBS will be required (full assistance provided).
