Job Specification
Reporting to:            Senior Marketing Executive.

Primary Role:
This role is to support the marketing activities of the British Plastics Federation (BPF). It is a highly varied role incorporating digital marketing and creative design, as well as supporting public relations activities. The role will suit a motivated, tech-savvy individual who is a quick learner and keen to apply their skills across a whole host of marketing activities.
Core duties include:
•    Promotion of the BPF’s services and products.
•    Creative design of marketing materials.
•    Digital and social media marketing
•    Communicating relevant industry activities to wider stakeholders, NGOs, the government and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Promotion of BPF services and products:
O    Updating BPF website
O    Creation of BPF fortnightly newsletter (HTML)
O    Promotion of trade shows and BPF events, including creation of HTMLs.
O    Promotion of the Horners Awards
O    Promotion and running of webinars
O    Assistance with banner advertising on BPF website.
•    Creative design of marketing materials including:
O    Designing banners, flyers and posters using Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop)
O    Liaising with designers to create bespoke material for BPF projects.
O    Liaising with printers to deliver materials to deadlines.
O    Supporting the delivery of the BPF Annual Review.
O    Supporting the delivery of the BPF Members Directory.
•    Digital and social media marketing:
O    Creating social media posts for Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google + and managing these accounts via Hootsuite.
O    Assisting with Search Engine Optimisation of BPF website(s)
•    Other marketing-related activities such as:
O    Writing press releases
O    Working with the wider team to sell advertising space and increase revenue.
O    Monitoring the news for key stories
O    Undertaking relevant research to support marketing and wider BPF activities.
O    Various ad hoc duties in support of the BPF events and tradeshows team.
•    Other duties as reasonably required. It is anticipated that the role will evolve and change.
Person Profile
experience Traits:
•    Knowledge of websites and digital marketing (including e-marketing)
•    Working knowledge of design software (InDesign and/or Illustrator and/or PhotoShop)
•    Excellent written skills
•    Good knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Excel, Power Point, and Word.
•    At least two years’ experience in a similar role.
•    Previous knowledge of plastics industry is not required.

Remuneration Benefits
Competitive salary plus annual bonus scheme, group personal pension (up to maximum of 10% employer contribution), death in service benefits (4 times salary plus 5% dependent's pension), season ticket loan and 22 days holiday plus bonus days between Christmas and New Year (at which time the BPF offices are closed).
