You’ll be at the forefront of raising awareness about Runway East, helping our social media take off, researching and writing blog posts for our website, taking charge of our email marketing efforts and promoting and coordinating unique events.
Runway East help amazing start-ups grow, thrive and succeed. We do that by offering space, advice, facilities and opportunities to the startups and entrepreneurs who work in our three buildings in Shoreditch and Moorgate.
Entry requirements:
Minimum grade C-A* in five GCSE, including Maths and English (or Functional Skills level 2 in both). You will also have good knowledge of IT including all Microsoft packages.
Ideally, we are looking for recent school leavers and non-graduates for the role.
Digital Marketer Advanced level qualification and training will be provided by White Hat.
Location: nearest station is Old Street, London
We’re looking for someone with a keen interest in startups to be the second hire on our marketing team: you’ll join our Marketing Manager in telling the story of Runway East to the world.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Writing blog posts, newsletters, emails, posters, e-Books, post it notes.if we can think it WE CAN WRITE IT
2. Growing our social media reach by being a natural for wanting to be a part of a greater conversation
3. Promoting large scale events (panels, speeches, dinners)
4. Researching emerging startups in London, and reaching out to them where appropriate
5. Coming up with fresh ideas to make the above work better than ever
Hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
Skills required:
Non-negotiable:
1. Well organised
2. Social media savvy
3. Keen interest in startups and the people behind them
4. Microsoft Office literate, and comfortable with spreadsheets
5. Excellent creative writing with perfect grammar and spelling - have you spotted one of the mistakes in this advert?
6. Previous experience working - flipping burgers, being behind a bar, in an Investment Bank -it doesn’t matter what, it just matters that you have it
7. You know that even the good jobs involve getting Stuck into spreadsheets, emailing and helping out other team members at least 30% of the time, and you’re ok with this.
