Turk Launches are seeking a Marine Engineer to work at their base in Kingston upon Thames on the repair and servicing of a fleet of five Thames passenger vessels.
Duties will include, but are not limited to engine servicing and repair, transmission, control systems, shaft line and couplings, domestic plumbing systems and DC electrical systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the company’s winter dry docking of the fleet, other craft, work boats and pontoons and the upkeep of maintenance records, stock control, health and safety records, and risk assessments.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will have at least basic engineering skills and an interest in the marine sector. Preference will be given to those applicants that have relevant higher education qualifications, including a Marine Engineering BTEC, apprenticeship or degree and proven experience in the industry. experience in welding, plumbing, basic electrics and marine propulsion is also advantageous. Turk Launches are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
