STRIKE TEAM ALPHA is a London based social and Milsim Sports Team with an increasing group of people joining us and we have decided that in August we will become a not for profit Unincorporated Association to meet the growing demands and needs on us and to formalise as an official organisation.
We started in February 2015 and have previously provided activities for those interested in military simulation, survival tactics, prepping and social activities and events in London, including airsoft, camping, hiking and adventure activities.
We are looking for a small team of volunteers to join our newly formed Management Committee Team at Strike Team Alpha with comes into effect at the end of August to help us to plan, organise and run meetings, milsim and social activities, as well as events. The role also includes collectively running Strike Team Alpha and making key decisions in the memberships interest, supporting the Volunteer Leadership Team (VLT) ensuring they have the support needed to carry out their duties.
The role requires a minimum of 8 hours per month, offering flexibility. All our activities and meetings take place during evenings and on weekends, so the majority of the role will require volunteering during those hours with quarterly meetings and task group meetings and activities between.
Duties Include;
1. Attending quarterly committee meetings in Central London (during an evening 7-9pm with the day decided by all Committee Members).
2. Make key decisions about Strike Team Alpha, its activities and its events.
3. Assist in Recruit Members, Volunteers and Supporters to help STA in its goals and objectives.
4. Plan, Organise and Deliver Activities, as well as oversee those doing so, including the VLT).
5. Be responsible for overall running of STA, ensuring we follow best practice and the law.
6. Other duties required for the role.
