We are looking for dynamic and innovative individuals who would like join a rapidly growing forward thinking company. Precious Homes provides a service for complex individuals who have recently moved or moving on from transforming of care. We offer a residential service with a difference promoting support tailored to the needs of the individuals rather than shared staff. We are looking for individuals who have a sound understanding of Autism and behaviours that can be described as challenging and able to work in a person centred way and promote positive behaviour support.
You must be innovate, creative, like a challenge and have a great sense of humour You must be approachable, a good listener and willing to assist the service user and colleagues alike
Ability to work in a person centred manner and actively engage with service users and staff to promote independence and active engagement within the community.
Have good written and numeracy skills
No two days are ever the same at Precious Homes but every day is rewarding and fun for our support workers. You will be working in a fantastic environment with the best facilities and as part of a highly skilled fun team delivering high quality person centred care. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
The Role:
• Providing outstanding personal care
• Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
• Assisting people to achieve daily goals
• Assisting with the development of person centred plans for our residents
• Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development in their own live apartment and in the community.
• Daily activities such as arts, crafts and various activities
• This includes employment, education and other opportunities.
• Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments
What we need from you:
Ideally you will have experience working or living with people with autism and learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex needs but not necessary as full guidance, support and a comprehensive training will be provided.
To be successful for this role you will need to promote outstanding people skills and positive relationships with our residents, their families and staff
