The job role will be to assist with domestic care eg. Mopping, sweeping, cleaning kitchen, living room, bathroom, communal areas and own bedroom. The PA will also be required to assist with laundry. Meal preparation will be apart of the job also feeding. It will be on a two week rotation basis.
The PA will also need to be willing to assist with activities which includes wheelchair football, horse riding etc.
Leon needs support at the gym to get on and off some equipment in the gym and to get in and out the chairs at wheelchair football but it is just support, no lifting. The PA would just help to guide Leon and react to his instruction.
The PA will also need to support with socializing e.g. Going to pubs/bars, sporting events, concerts, restaurants, bowling, cinema etc.
When out and about the PA will need to support with opening doors, communication support, feeding, carrying shopping and paying for things.
You are expected to assist with gardening and DIY. This including planting and watering flowers. Keeping the garden neat and tidy. Touching up paintwork inside and outside of the house. Also assisting in fixing things.
Leon has a wheelchair adapted van that the PA would be able to drive him about in, however a clean driving license would be required.
