Dean Street Townhouse is located in the heart of Soho.  Always buzzing with excitement, the ground floor dining room features a weekly changing menu of seasonal British cuisine, carefully sourced from producers within UK and Ireland.  In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner, the dining room is also known for its classic afternoon tea with homemade sandwiches, freshly baked scones and pastries.  The popular bar serves a selection of wines, classic cocktails and modern twists.
The Role.
We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake various tasks on our premises across four sites, in order to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, tiling, various basic carpentry and plumbing jobs, HVAC maintenance minor electrical repairs as well as other undertakings.
As a Maintenance Technician you must be professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously as well as part of the team, you will be patient, considerate, tidy and observe all health and safety guidelines.
You must be able to do early starts and night work.
The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
·        Undertake preventative and reactive tasks across our restaurants, bars, club, hotel kitchen and BOH.
·        Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs (replace light bulbs, sockets, plugs, replace taps and fittings, unblock drains etc.)
·        Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
·        Perform maintenance and repairs of furniture and other basic carpentry/woodwork jobs as well as fit and replace locks and latches, replace glass panes fit shelving etc.
·        Undertake activities of pest control and treatment.
·        Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, varnishing, tiling, caulking, etc.)
·        An ability to undertake fast and efficient painting and decorating.
·        Purchase materials and parts, maintain workshop.
Requirements
·        A comprehensive knowledge of spoken and written English.
·        experience as maintenance technician is advantageous.
·        Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
·        Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
·        Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
·        A can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
