An exciting opportunity to join a well know company operating in London and the South West for over 250 years.
You will be working on some of London’s most prestigious historic building. After an initial trial period moving into a permanent role with our client.
This is a “working foreman” type role – 80% working and 20% managing and liaising with the client.
Duties would include:
• Carpentry and/or handyman duties.
• Desk duties, including taking calls, emails and CAFM based work instructions and carrying out or organising the work.
• Basic reporting via the CAFM software – receiving and closing out orders and basic reporting on work instructions.
• Managing Heath and Safety for all work carried out on site.
• Ensuring work remains in keeping with company sustainability principals.
The successful candidate skills/ criteria:
• Presentable appearance, personable and customer focused
• Trade background – preferably carpentry. Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrics helpful.
• I.T. Literate. Basic knowledge of CAFM systems beneficial
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to supervise a small team and ad hoc subcontractors
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
