Maintenance Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in general maintenance work is essential, this will incorporate a variety of plumbing, tiling and joinery.
Relevant electrical qualifications and experience are desirable for this role.
Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial as would hotel knowledge.
THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Supervisor for our Apex Hotel at LOCATION. Reporting to the Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for the following:
Carrying out preventative maintenance work and administrative duties necessary to maintain the facility to the highest standard.
Ensuring all statutory checks are carried out and recorded.
Maintaining the maintenance reporting procedure to ensure that all issues are reported, repaired and recorded.
Ensure that department expenditure is in line with budget.
Proposing development projects to improve the facility where possible.
Supervising a part-time Maintenance Assistant to ensure that performance standards are met.
Being on call as required.
THE PERSON
You will show initiative, be able to prioritise your work load and be able to work on your own. You will be results orientated and commercially aware with excellent communication skills and the ability to build respect and good working relationships with all levels within the organisation.
