Exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor/Manager to manage all Hard Services related operations within a PFI Contract in Slough and to ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation
Brief details of the role:
* Permanent opportunity
* Location - Slough
* Salary GBP32,000 + use of company Van
* Managing Contractors
* Mechanical Qualified Joiner, plumber, Mechanical engineer
* Some hands on work where required
* Appointment and management of specialist contractors
* experience in Hard Facilities Management
* Technical based qualification including plumbing, joiner, mechanical engineer etc.
Duties will include:
* Act as Responsible and Authorised Person for specialised operations
* Assist with the operation and development of the Company's Safety Rules and Procedures
* Liaise with the Management team to ensure the safe delivery of Variation, Life Cycle and small works within budget and to time
* Explore opportunities to reduce associated costs and increase energy efficiencies
* Development of technical skills within the in-house Site teams
* Utilities management to ensure Company meets its contractual obligations and Technical and Contractual reporting
* Management of all Hard Services delivered either in-house or by Providers
* Effective management of Providers on site
* Manage and develop Life Cycle planning, implementation and monitoring in consultation with stakeholders and the SPV
* Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements
* Manage the contract Utility Management, target and monitor consumptions and introduce appropriate energy saving and environmental initiatives to meet and exceed contractual requirements
* Ensure that procured products and services are of specified quality, are safe, compliant and from sustainable and traceable sources
* Manage project specific risks including the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of risk management plans
* Ensure that Hard Services best practice is shared between functions, sites and contracts
Qualifications/Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in Hard FM
* Technical or trade background ideally mechanical including engineer, Fabric, Plumber, joiner etc.
* experience of FM service deliverables
* BMS operations
* Management of Supply Chain
* Implementation of Statutory compliance PPM tasks
* experience working in public buildings
* experience of Microsoft packages
* Practical knowledge and management of Statutory compliance requirements
* Working knowledge of SFG20
* Knowledge and implementation of SSoWs'
* Understanding and knowledge of CAFM
* Understanding and knowledge BMS systems
* Demonstrable experience in managing contractors through KPI's and SLA's to achieve high performance
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to manage own workload and prioritise where necessary
* Satisfactory CRB clearance at enhanced level
* Highly organised and Self-motivated
* Proactive / problem solving
* Good People Management skills
* Trained in and working knowledge of construction / FM H and S.
