Maintenance Project Manager With Experience

MAINTENANCE FOREMAN
Debonair Building Maintenance is currently looking for an experienced-multi skilled Tradesman / Foreman, to overlook and lead our maintenance team. We are interested to engage someone on self-employed basis with possibility of permanent employment in the future.
The job will involve undertaking various refurbishment projects and carrying out general maintenance duties. The role will require attending different sites and properties and being fully responsible for all the maintenance works and repairs. You will be expected to distribute and allocate jobs appropriately between qualified team members, to meet our client’s expectations.
Skills and experience required:
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• Carpentry and joinery
• Painting and decorating
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team work
• Leadership and supervising skills
• High organizational skills and attention to details
• Self-motivated, to work well without supervision
• UK clean driving license
• Hold valid Public Liability Insurance (self-employed)
Key responsibilities:
• General works (installing fixtures, changing doors, fixing locks, various repairs, building partitions, etc.)
• General plumbing (installing, changing and fixing: taps sinks, toilets, showers, fixing leaks and repairing pipes)
• General electric jobs (changing and installing sockets, switches, fuse spurs, light fittings, etc.)
• Painting and decorating walls, ceilings and woodwork, etc.
• Dealing with our customers directly and providing quotes and estimates of any additional work
• Maintaining company high standards of service and complete jobs on time
• Buying materials from suppliers as required (from out trade accounts-trade card provided)
• Maintaining the work area clean and tidy at all times
• Carrying out inductions and taking responsibility for health and safety procedures and PPE
• Any other ad-hoc tasks and duties as required
The ideal candidate should posses a proactive attitude towards work, ability to work under pressure as well as be interested in learning and developing new skills.
The role requires working at own initiative with minimum supervision but also be able to follow the instructions from the office when required. We are looking for a highly committed and motivated individual with a good work ethic, strong common sense and excellent organizational skills. A good level of English is essential as well as punctuality, reliability and honesty.
This role is offering a competitive package (daily rate: £150 - £200), along with fantastic opportunities to develop and progress to a managerial position within the industry.
You will be required to work Monday to Friday 8:00 - 18:00 with additional hours as and when required.
