Newpark Childcare is looking for an experienced and multiskilled Maintenance Officer to look after our 5 sites. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working person to work independently, as well as to have the ability to use their initiative and common sense.
This a full time, permanent role, 45 hrs/week, including regular evenings and most weekends. Flexibility of start and finishing times depending on work scheduled for the day. You will be provided with a company van, mobile phone, tools and laptop.
It is essential that you:
• have proven skills in: Painting and Decorating, Carpentry, Plumbing, Tiling, Small Electrical Work and Routine Maintenance Jobs.
• can instruct and oversee other trades and contractors
• can manage and prioritise your workload accordingly
• have sound awareness of health and safety and security.
• have very good written and spoken English and can use online job management software (via an smartphone app and laptop).
• have excellent customer services skills
• are able to identify and solve problems as they occur, are self-motivated, well-organised, meticulous and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
• are extremely reliable, presentable, hard-working, honest and trustworthy
• hold a clean, valid, full UK driving licence
• hold a valid CSCS Card
Reward:
• 29,600 plus overtime (£12.65 per hour)
