Job Title: Building Services/ Maintenance Assistant/ Duty Caretaker
Salary: £19,000 - 21,000 per annum
Duration: Permanent contract (after successful completion of 3 month probation)
Hours : 35 hours per week, 5 shifts on 7 days Rota, inc. Evenings and weekends
Job Summary:
Building Services are an integral part of the team at Wac Arts, responsible for assisting the building’s many diverse users, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the building and all its many events and activities.
We are looking for a fantastic communicator who takes pride in their work and the environment around them. The successful employee will be a team player who will work effectively across all departments to ensure the building is serviced effectively and efficiently.
They will be a key player in working with the reception team to manage building access and maintaining the upkeep and safety of the building, equipment, facilities and operations. They will work with the view to support all departments and building users, promoting Wac Arts values in all work undertaken and communications made.
They will provide efficient and effective caretaking, ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards and that utilities operate at optimum efficiency.
The successful candidate will have to be DBS checked and will be expected to observe safe working practices in carrying out their required duties.
