Maintenance Assistant / Handyman
The Key Collection. currently have a permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant / Handyman to join their maintenance team. Servicing 2 small hotels / serviced apartments in Kensington, you will be required to support the maintenance function in areas such as Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and all aspects of the building trade.
The principle duties will include:
• Painting / Maintenance of hotels / apartments / office areas on a planned and reactive basis.
• Liaising with other members of the maintenance team to ensure a high quality of décor is maintained in all areas of the facility.
• Assisting with other works reported via the Hippo system.
• Use of a smart phone to receive work orders from our CMMS system.
• Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
• Recording and reporting all faults and damages / carrying out inspections on jobs and prepare preventative maintenance.
The successful candidates will:
• 1-2 Years’ Maintenance / Handyman experience.
• Have good general knowledge of mechanical/ electrical, Painting, Tiling, Carpentry, furniture and fixtures and be capable of using tools.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a polite and professional manner.
• Have the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy working environment.
• Be strongly customer focused and aware of customer guests’ needs at all times.
• Be capable of working unsupervised on their own initiative.
• Have a proactive, flexible and professional working approach.
