We're looking for a reliable, friendly person to service our shoeshine location in-store at a quality men's retailer in the West End of London. You will be working with the team at the store to provide quality shoe care for our customers and a fun marketing experience for visitors. We have a lot of regulars, so it's a very sociable job of maintaining those relationships and bringing in new customers.
The hours are normally Monday-Friday 11.30am - 7pm though there are Saturday shifts available too. A uniform allowance will be provided.
The Jaunty Flaneur is at the top of the shoe care market, working with high quality shoes, great brands and luxury partners. Shoeshining is an important first step to becoming an expert in the field, and we hope the successful applicant will want to learn more about polishing and patina (recolouring shoes) and so progress through the company into new areas. We're still a young, niche business so we're looking for somebody who is keen on working with us to grow, and who can play a part in taking us to the next level. It's a fun job with opportunity to do something different and become a real specialist in an interesting area.
All training will be provided as we have a particular way of doing things, so we're just looking for the right personality to join us. Somebody who is friendly with customers and can build a relationship with regulars, and who is interested in style and quality.
