We are a professional couple with a 4 and a half year old girl and a 9 month old son, living in Pimlico, London. We are looking for a live-out nanny to take care of our children who will be flexible to start anytime from 2 weeks to 1 month's time working full time (5 days , Monday to Friday). We are looking for someone who is energetic and genuinely fond of looking after babies and children and who is enthusiastic about participating in their development.
The hours will be from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm.
Responsibilities include:
participating in activities to assist the psychological, emotional and physical development of our children
entertaining with games and play activities appropriate for their age;
reading to them;
taking them to play groups in the local area;
Cooking nutritious food for the children
washing and ironing their clothes and linen on a daily basis;
helping in our son’s toilet training;
changing bed linen;
shopping - food, nappies and other essentials;
Ensuring the children’s bedroom and playroom is tidy at all times
massaging and bathing them
school drop and pick up of the older one
helping with homework as and when required
willing to do light housekeeping: laundry, tidiness, grocery shopping in emergency, organising
We would like the nanny to work with us for the long term and become a part of our family and will prefer candidates who are willing to make a long term commitment.
The candidate must:
(i) have prior experience of working with babies and children performing all the above activities;
(ii) be able to provide at least two references from past employers;
(iii) have a CRB number and ideally be OFSTED registered;
(iv) be fluent in English and bilingual and have NVQ qualifications
(v) ideally have first aid training;
(vi) be a non-smoker.
