This friendly family are looking for a live-in nanny/housekeeper plus or minus cook to join their family long term. They live in a 8 bedroom house between Wimbledon and Kingston and offer lovely accommodation of a double room, with own ensuite bathroom, shared kitchen with their aupair and access to indoor swimming pool and cinema room in the basement of the house. The house is on the no 57 bus route and a short walk to Richmond Park on the edge of the Coombe estate.
Both mum and dad are doctors, however mum only works one day a week on a Tuesday and will be gone from 07:30 -19:30, on that day you will then be on duty with either the aupair or the mothers help. This position is very much working as part of a team and being flexible on what needs to be done in the household and with the children, so it is important you are happy working as part of a team. The family have five children 3 boys aged 10, 8, 5 and twin’s girls aged 4 years old. The family also employ an aupair and mothers help as well, so you will always be working with another. Mum is very involved with the children to and she does the school and nursery run, she may sometimes need some help, but the key will be being able to get the children all ready to go on time. The 3 oldest are currently at school and the youngest twins go to nursery but will be starting full time school come September.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is friendly, bubbly and who can work as a team player and just Muck in with whatever needs helping with. Other childcare duties including morning routine, helping with homework, taking to activities/play dates, cooking, laundry, tidying and bedtime routine.
When the children are at school/nursery they would like help with housekeeping especially laundry and ironing. They have a cleaner who comes for a day once a week to do the deep cleaning but they are looking for someone to help maintain a clean and tidy house. They would also love someone who can help out with cooking and do some batch cooking during the day sometimes. They have a dog so you need to be pet friendly. There is also potential to travel with the family on holidays.
They are a relaxed, informal family but require someone punctual, reliable bright and fun!
Location: Coombe, Kingston
Days: Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday (4-5 days) plus two nights babysitting. This will often include Saturday night babysitting from 7pm (but not always)
Hours: 6.45am - 7.30pm (2-hour break in the day, flexibility is essential)
Salary £400-£475 npw depending on experience.
