Named the UK’s Best Greeting Card Retailer 2022 we've got big plans to grow our business, starting with a brand new shop in the heart of Kingston town centre.
What we're looking for:
Our staff are at the heart of everything we do.
With our new shop opening in mid-April we're now on the look out for a smart, commercially minded and ambitious Assistant Manager. This role would be the perfect challenge for someone who's already currently working as a supervisor or an assistant manager at another high street retailer and would relish the opportunity to really show off their skills and be part of a young, vibrant company as it expands.
You will play a key role in the management team at Postmark, inspiring your team with your can do attitude, confidence and enthusiasm for our brand. You'll work closely with your manager to build a buzz about Postmark, ensuring our customers always receive the first class service we pride ourselves on and your shop looks visually stunning all while driving sales and profitability.
What you will do:

Work closely with your Manager to maximize sales and profits at your store. This will involve analysing sales data, compiling reports and working closely with other senior members of the Postmark team.
Offer outstanding customer service, ensuring your team is motivated to do the same, feeding back when needed to improve performance.
Look for opportunities to improve sales
Work closely with Manager to train new staff and ensure appraisals are done in a timely manner, attend meetings where necessary.
Maintaining high visual merchandising standards and ensure operational standards are maintained throughout the store.
Ensure company guidelines on cash and till transactions are meet.
Communicate with your team and customers in professional and clear manner, encouraging a positive work environment.

The skills you'll need:

Proven experience in retail management
Positive attitude, enthusiasm and common sense.
Commercially awareness
Ambition and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Able to inspire and motivate a team
