Lounge Supervisor Job in London

DO and CO Event and Airline Catering Ltd is a worldwide catering company delivering gourmet entertainment to the airline industry. We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team in the airport lounges at London Heathrow Airport.
Objectives:
To supervise lounge staff and ensure that they provide high quality products and service to passengers and that their demands are met at all times, while being the point of reference for Emirates staff as well as guests in the event of remarks, suggestions and complaints.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Check with passengers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and immediately follow up on any issues, queries or complaints
• Report any issues or complains to the Lounge manager
• Explain how various menu items are prepared, describe ingredients and cooking methods, recommend specials or signature dishes
• Removal of dishes that do not meet standards
• Describe and recommend wines and spirits to passengers
• Anticipate customers’ needs by proposing additional meals or drinks
• Check preparations for the next day by the end of the night shift and instruct hostesses to do additional tasks in case the preparations do not meet the requirements
• Coordinate and plan production to ensure a full buffet throughout the day, but avoid wastage at the end of the day by overproduction
• Communicating with staff regarding shift plan changes or extended work hours due to flight delays
• Meet the requirements of hygiene standards
• Write a informative shift report at the end of each shift, summarizing important events and occurrences during the shift
• Submit any other necessary paperwork to lounge manager or DO and CO contacts on a daily basis, as instructed by the Lounge manager
• Checking the quantity, quality and temperature of incoming goods and ensure that they are stored correctly and report in case of failing goods as per instruction of the Lounge manager
Professional qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in a similar position or industry
• Or equivalent EU working experience
• Excellent English skills (verbal and written)
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge
• HACCP knowledge
