Online Content Manager
I’ve tasked myself at writing an advert, to let you know a little more about the role we have on offer, what you can expect when working for us, and hopefully you’ll be persuaded to apply for the position @ the best cupcake company in London. I’ve been with Lola’s for over 5 years now, and I look after the business development.
So an e-commerce manager is what we are looking for….our website has become an important part of our company in recent years, We’ve a raft of exciting plans and changes lined up for this year, and we are looking for someone with relevant experience, and an ambitious outlook in the field to join and head up this work.
We are very much a people business, so I will commit to saying that we will look after you whilst you are with us, ensure you have a good team to work alongside and most importantly compensated handsomely for your efforts (by way of free cupcakes) ! obviously…….
You will be working closely alongside me (the managing director), as well as our graphics/marketing/sales and production departments, so you’ll have plenty of colleagues close by.
Our company sells a range of handcrafted freshly baked treats, we have 24 retail outlets (soon to be more). We have a central bakery, which delivers fresh, to our stores daily. Our website handles all our pre-orders, allowing our customers to customize a cake and have it delivered the very next day. Sounds easy but it’s not!
In this new and exciting role you’ll be actively managing our web platform, working with our technical web team as well as many other departments across the company. You’ll have plenty of support and investment to develop our web platform further, and we are currently working on a new platform with a new web design company at present, which is hoping to launch at the end of this year.
Previous and relevant experience is a must, and whilst you won’t have to code, you’ll need to be able to apply yourself to all other challenges in managing the site, notably (and I hope you’ll be able to add to this list)
• Taking a lead role in maintenance and development of the site content (using content management software)
• Meeting with marketing/graphics/product development departments to effectively plan content changes
• Analyse web usage statistics
• Management and prioritization of all web development projects
• Copy/edit and proof read all web content
• Keep up to date with all emerging web technology changes.
• Track and report on all site metrics
• Managing bug issues, customer online experience developments
• Creating products on the web system, seasonal and new products
Must have
• Excellent organization skills / ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work well across departments (production/marketing/sales)
• Strong work ethic / keen interest in self development
• Strategic thinker
Salary
