Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (Maternity Cover)
Required from January 2022 for 12 months
Remuneration: £18,000 basic, plus bonus
Based: London SW14
Megnet are a distributor of digital network products and accessories to customers in EMEA markets. We are looking for an energetic and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our successful team for a minimum of 12 months maternity cover. There is a possibility that this role will go permanent for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the logistics coordinator will ensure the smooth running of receiving and dispatching products to and from the Company. Accuracy and attention to detail are key requirements for this role, as well as maintaining consistent communication with your manager, and escalating any issues in a timely manner.
Main Responsibilities
Receiving inbound shipments:
Monitoring inbound shipments with Proview DHL.
Receiving shipments: unpacking, part number/serial number control and receiving goods into stock.
Quality/Condition check.
Packaging check.
Updating shipping log for inbound shipments.
Checking supplier’s invoice/delivery notes and uploading into Quick Books.
Shipping orders
Pick goods from stock - order preparation: quality check, s/n check, labelling, packaging.
Order preparation in accordance to customer order requirements.
Invoicing in Quick Books.
Shipping cost calculation.
Generating shipping labels, commercial invoices, and commodity code in Intraship DHL.
Updating shipping log and stock register.
Updating Orders and Shipped spreadsheet.
End of day reporting.
Monitoring shipped shipments in Proview DHL – Notifying Operations Coordinator of any potential problems.
Weekly Tasks:
Notify the other Operations Coordinator of any shortages in stationary and office supplies – checking and ordering – every Wednesday (bags and leaflets are ordered quarterly)
Monthly tasks
Stocktake – first day of each month.
Company data and Intellectual Property
When not in use supplier details should be filed away. Every precaution should be taken to protect sensitive company data information.
Skills and experience:
An understanding of the products and services within the Megnet portfolio.
Motivated with positive helpful attitude; diligent.
Excel and MS Office Skills are essential.
Organised and methodical, able to work on own initiative.
Must be a team player who interacts well with colleagues.
Good computer skills.
Competencies:
Communication - The ability to speak and write so as to be clearly understood by others, using appropriate vocabulary, grammar and style.
Organising Work - The ability to marshal and manage resources (people, funding, materials and support) to achieve a task. Able to manage own time efficiently and to handle multiple activities in parallel to accomplish the goals.
Listening and Responding - The ability to accurately listen to others, understand their feelings, needs and points of view and then to respond appropriately.
Customer Orientation - The ability to recognise both internal and external customers and the willingness to co-operate with them fully in order to help them achieve their objectives.
