We're Localove and we are a Startup company launching an app for discovering what’s happening in your local neighbourhood from shops and businesses around you. You can get daily local inspiration of what’s just arrived in the pet store or what you want for lunch. As long as it’s local, it’s all there to see.
We're looking for a local person who is comfortable working on their own initiative and someone who is confident at engaging local business owners both on the telephone and face to face. Someone who doesn’t want to be Stuck behind a desk all day, but wants to be actively involved in helping small businesses thrive in the local community.
Your role would include:
- Telephoning and/or emailing shops to set up appointments to visit them (this is not cold calling, the shops will already have signed up to our app). This part of the job could be done from home.
- Getting involved with the shops on an ongoing basis, helping them to see the value in using the app and encouraging them to use it. You should be an excellent communicator and enjoy interacting with people.
- Visiting shops face-to-face to help them to post on the app and use the app in a productive manner, helping them with any issues they may have.
- Being out and about in the local neighbourhood, this role is not purely office based. You should be happy working towards targets on your own initiative, and being active during the day.
- Consulting with shop and local business owners on different posting ideas to help them promote their events, offers, products and services to local residents. Marketing experience is not required, local knowledge is more important.
- To ensure the app is performing as expected, helping users with technical knowledge, giving feedback to the team from the local users. This is not a technical role, we will give you any training that you need.
- Maintaining business information spreadsheets.
- Assisting the Activation Manager with marketing initiatives to grow the number of residents using the app in each neighbourhood

This is a part time job for a minimum of 24 hours per week across 3 days a week (Mon-Fri). Pay is £1150 per month.
